Star Empire Entertainment has addressed reports circulating that the girl group Jewelry is set to disband.
The agency explained that nothing has been confirmed at the moment. A rep stated on November 18, "Currently, the contract for Jewelry's Baby J (Jooyeon) has ended, and it's true that Semi's contract ends in the middle of this month. However, a disbandment has not been confirmed, so we don't know what's going to happen."
Star Empire gave a timeline for an update, adding, "Semi is currently filming the MBC Every1 sitcom 'Boarding House No.24'. We'll be deciding anything related to her contract after the end of the series."
Earlier reports alleged that with Baby J and Semi most likely not renewing their contracts, it would be difficult for Yewon to continue on as Jewelry alone.
