Akdong Musician's Suhyun talks about her brother Chanhyuk and his jealousy of HI SUHYUN

Suhyun said playfully, "My brother was pretending to be okay. He was giving off the attitude of not caring of what we do."

She told the media that her brother kept his cool about the situation but was worried about the future of Akdong Musician as a group. She said, "He said, 'My way and your way are different,' and looked like he really didn't care. Rather than jealousy, he was more disappointed from an artist's point of view. In terms of music, there are a lot of things that Akdong Musician has to show, but he was worried that my image would be wasted through HI SUHYUN."

However, Suhyun then said that Chanhyuk had jokingly pretended to be jealous of Suhyun's individual promotions. She told, "When I kept promoting through other means, he kept saying that he would write song and give it to other people. He even told Lee Hi, 'You better not sing my songs,'"

When asked about Akdong Musician being awarded the 'Top 10 Artist' award as well as 'Best Folk' award at the '2014 MelOn Music Awards', Suhyun humbly revealed her gratitude. 

She said, "It's not that we sing for the awards, but I think it's because we worked so hard, that we were able to receive two awards. We were nominated two out of the three grand prize selections. Our hearts were fluttering just from hearing our song, 'Give Love', playing." 

Suhyun was also asked about WINNER being awarded the 'Best New Artist' award over Akdong Musician, and she responded that she and Chanhyuk congratulated their fellow YG artists and had no hard feelings. 

She said, "When WINNER was named, my brother and I congratulated them together. As we were enjoying the award ceremony, I saw that my brother was having fun and that boosted my spirits."
