The Songpa Police Office previously reported that they were going to send the one case of bodily harm that Kim Hyun Joong acknowledged to the prosecution office. Out of the four cases the singer and actor's ex-girlfriend filed against him and then withdrew, he had admitted to one physical fight the two engaged in; hence, the police had a responsibility to send this not as an assault cause but as a bodily harm case to the prosecution office despite the withdrawal of charges against Kim Hyun Joong.
As an update, the police headquarters stated on October 1, "Among the four cases that were reported, the portion of the assault charges that Kim Hyun Joong acknowledged was forwarded to the prosecutors on September 29. Despite the [alleged] habitual assault, the three additional assault cases were forwarded with no right of arraignment," meaning he would not be prosecuted for those other cases.
Once the prosecutors' investigation wraps up, it appears the battle with the assault charges from his ex-girlfriend will likewise conclude.
