Go Ara compares her characters from 'You're Surrounded' and 'Reply 1994'

As her image from tvN's 'Reply 1994' is still fresh in viewers' minds, actress Go Ara�was asked to compare her old character to her new character Soo Sun in SBS's 'You're Surrounded' at the press conference for the show.

She said, "[Soo Sun] has the similar explosive personality as Na Jung in my previous work, but a lot of people are helping me express it in a way that fits Soo Sun. �If you look at it this way in my case, the values, whether they're fundamental inclinations, the person's personality, or the pursued course of action, have similarities. �'Reply 1994's Na Jung and Soo Sun have similar aspects.

I did not think about portraying a different image. �All the same, their process of living differed, so I am focusing on that as well as considering and thinking about Soo Sun's natural environment.

So I think she will be different from Na Jung. �It comes out in the script, too, but the way I portray her in certain situations is different, as well. �One representative example is that Na Jung has a lot of aegyo, but Soo Sun has none. �She is an oblivious character. In those aspects, I think Soo Sun would appear as just Soo Sun [to the viewers instead of Na Jung]."�
