With the news that Nicole will indeed be leaving KARA after her contract expires in a couple of days, many people are understandably curious about Jiyoung's stance on her contract renewal as she had remained ambivalent about this subject. She wanted to think more about whether she should continue activities as a singer or consider focusing on her education.

As her contract with DSP Media expires in April, there is still some time. Regardless, the agency updated everyone on Jiyoung's situation, "We are currently going through great pains with the contract renewal. We decided to spend some more time deliberating on the course to take regarding her future singing promotions and education."
