Why were his tears black? Well, he wasn't actually crying. He'd put on Joker-esque makeup for the talent show part of the army's athletics meet. The various acts showed the soldiers dressing up as girls, and when a real girl group came out onto the stage, everyone got incredibly excited.

Even though Hyungsik probably sees girl groups all the time as a ZE:A member, he got into the professional soldier mindset and couldn't help but express his own excitement. He was jumping up and down and screaming so hard that he didn't even notice his black eye makeup was running from sweat, making him look like he was crying 'black' tears. Later on, more lines started to run from his eye area, making him look really bizarre - not that he cared, as long as he got to see Rainbow.
