Baek Ji Young partially won another lawsuit against a plastic surgeon of a clinic in Seoul for unapproved commercial usage of her photos.
The Seoul Central District Court declared their sentence for plastic surgeon Mr. Lee and stated, "Mr. Lee must pay Baek Ji Young 4 million KRW (~$3,600 USD) for violation of her right of publicity."
From 2010-2012, plastic surgeon Mr. Lee used 4 of Baek Ji Young's bikini photos to promote a liposuction service on his blog without Baek Ji Young's permission leading Baek Ji Young to file a claim for damages. Although the damages were originally estimated to be 40 million KRW, the court ruled for 1/10th the amount of 4 million KRW.
Baek Ji Young and Nam Gyu Ri also partially won a lawsuit against another plastic surgeon for a similar violation.
