Baek Ji Young and Nam Gyu Ri partially win their lawsuit against a plastic surgeon

The singer and the actress had sued the hospital for uploading photos of them onto the hospital board. The judge of their case said, "Mr. Choi [the defendant] must pay both Ms. Baek and Ms. Nam 5,000,000 KRW (approximately 4,300 USD) each."

The judge decided that Mr. Choi's hospital workers had violated Baek Ji Young and Nam Gyu Ri's right of publicity by 'blog marketing'. He said, "The blog posts look like they're just writing thoughts and reviews on TV programs, but they've attached hospital PR, so it became a part of marketing. If the photos are used continuously without permission, their value as a CF model decreases."

This case is different than Jang Dong Gun and Girls' Generation's case because in that case, the surgeon and his clinic was not responsible for the posts.
