Singer Lee Seung Gi made sure to start the new year right by helping families in need for his fourth consecutive year as a sponsor for the KBS charity program 'Field Report Companion'.
On the January 10th broadcast, Lee Seung Gi featured as a narrator and shared a message to give hope to those in need. Lee Seung Gi stated, "As I watch the guests who appear on the show, I learned a lot about how to live my life," revealing the reason for his generous donations to the organization.
A representative revealed, "Lee Seung Gi has worked with 'Field Report Companion' since 2009, he's given his support to 201 teams of families so far. He sent heartwarming, handwritten letters to the families. He also worked together with service organizations to pack and gift dried seaweed and kimchi as presents, invited them to his concerts. He's working hard and sticking by the program."
Fans were touched by Lee Seung Gi's devotion to the charity, giving him the nickname "charity angel". They donated 16 million won (~$15,000 USD) to the 'Field Report Companion' program as well.
