ALi reveals she almost used the stage name Tysoon because of Leessang's Gil

ALi revealed the story behind her stage name.

On the January 30th broadcast of YTN's 'News 12- Issue and People', ALi shared the story behind her unique name.

ALi revealed, "Actually, this name is a stage name created by Leessang. Both of�the Leessang�members like boxing a lot. To symbolize the idea of explosive vocals, we took the name from the famous boxer Muhammad Ali to create the stage name."

She made viewers laugh by adding "To be honest, I almost became Tysoon. Leessang's Gil said he liked Tyson, but since I'm a girl, we should make it Tysoon. But Gary said Tysoon was too much and came up with a more refined name, which was ALi. I could have been Tysoon."

During the interview, ALi also shared the details about her new mini-album and song "Eraser".
