Singer IU celebrated her 19th birthday (20th by Korean standards) on May 16th, and shared a photo of her birthday present from fans via Twitter.
IU�attached�the above photo and left the message, "Wow.. thank you my fans!! The rice is displayed like this in my agency's lobby! Thank you ^^".
In celebration of IU's birthday, her international fans put up banners that read "Happy 20th Birthday IU, WeHeartIU International Forum" along with two batches of rice in the LOEN Entertainment lobby.
IU's fans seemed to have put a lot of thought into their gift as one batch of rice weighed in at 516 kg (1138 lbs) in celebration of the singer's literal birth date while the second batch of rice weighed in at 200 kg (441 lbs) to indicate the�celebration of her 20th birthday, totaling 716 kg (1579 lbs) of rice. As expected, the rice will be donated to a good cause under IU's name.
