Japan's "You're Beautiful" sees a rise in viewer ratings thanks to Jang Geun Suk's cameo

Actor Jang Geun Suk finally made his cameo appearance in the�Japanese remake of his hit drama, 'You're Beautiful'.� Thanks to his special appearance, the drama experienced a sharp rise in viewer ratings, thus demonstrating the power of the 'Jang Geun Suk Effect'. The drama usually records an average of 9.5% in viewer ratings, but the episode with Jang Geun Suk's cameo saw an increase to 10.1%. Although Jang Geun Suk enjoys great popularity in Japan, this was his first time appearing in a Japanese drama. Thanks to his Japanese lessons, the actor managed�to complete his scenes in fluent Japanese without any NG cuts. Jang Geun Suk also refused pay for his role, commenting, "I made a cameo for the fans who love the drama and me. I hope that they'll use my compensation for the benefit of the drama."
