On September 16th, a member of the National Assembly Defense Committee revealed that the Marine Corps were currently considering a plan to appoint private Hyun Bin to a position on the public relations team, before promoting him to corporal. This has happened once before in the Marine Corps with singer Lee Jung Jae. After entering the Marine Corps back in March, Hyun Bin has been serving at Baekryeondo 6th Brigade as a regular combat soldier.
