After School's tap dance routine for "Let's Step Up" recently raised some allegations of plagiarism, as some claim that it was ripped from the tap dance special on KBS 2TV's"Qualifications of Men." Pledis Entertainment, however, has stepped forward and denied the claims. On May 5th, the agency released a press report that stated, "We've been preparing the performance for 'Let's Step Up' since November of last year.It took us a longer time to prepare, and coincidentally, 'Qualification of Men' came out with their tap dance special first. We did not jump on the bandwagon of the popularity their special received." They continued, "We hoped to present a stage that showed After School's unique color." "Qualification of Men" broadcasted their tap dance special back in February. After discovering that After School's tap dance trainer, Lee Jung Kwon, was the same trainer for "Qualification of Men", speculations had grown stronger.
