Loen Entertainment denies reports claiming IU made $6 million USD in digital sales

Posted by VITALSIGN42 pts Wednesday, April 6, 2011

On April 6th, reports revealed that IU had brought in $6 million USD in digital sales revenue for just the first quarter of 2011 alone, the highest amongst other Korean singers. Starting in December with "Good Day", she propelled her popularity into 2011 and made consecutive hits with "The Story Only I Didn't Know", "Cruel Fairy Tale", and Dream High's OST "Someday". However, IU's agency Loen Entertainment has revealed that the reports are unconfirmed. Through a phone call with SPN, they revealed, "Our distributors have not balanced their accounts for the quarter yet, so we aren't sure of the exact amounts. Reports claiming $6 million USD are exaggerated, and are most likely a prediction of everything that has yet to be balanced  from last year." Meanwhile, the young idol is currently in London for a fashion photoshoot. Source: SPN via Nate
