It was a special Music Bank episode on November 5th, as Kim Jang Hoon sang and led his juniors in performing a special tribute to legendary Korean musician, Kim Hyun Sik.
Kim Hyun Sik was one of the most popular singers in the 80s with his unique vocal style that often involved shouting, and he covered a wide range of genres, including jazz, rock, blues, and soul. Unfortunately, he passed away due to liver disease in 1990 at the age of just 32.
To mark the 20th anniversary of his passing, a commemorative album, "Letter to Kim Hyun Sik", was produced and released recently, and veteran singer Kim Jang Hoon led the tributes on Music Bank with a solo stage of Kim's classic hit song, "Like Rain Like Music."
Kim Jang Hoon also led his juniors, Oh Jong Hyuk, SG Wannabe's Jin Ho, 2AM's Jinwoon, and 2PM's Junsu to perform another of Kim's hit songs, "Love Love Love."
