SBS settles pay dispute with HanYeJo

It was reported that SBS has also reached an agreement with HanYeJo (Korean Broadcast, Movie, Performance, and Artists Labor Union) over the non-payment controversy. This new agreement means that current airing SBS dramas, My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox, Giant, I Am Legend, and others, will air as normal and will not be disrupted. HanYeJo had proposed a strike from September 1st because of non-payment by the 3 major TV broadcasters, KBS, SBS and MBC, to 3rd-party production companies for production of dramas, etc. KBS reached an agreement with HanYeJo yesterday, just 3 minutes before a press conference while SBS has also complied a day later today, agreeing to the demands put forth by HanYeJo, including a guarantee that it will not default or delay on payments in future. With KBS and SBS complying, MBC remains as the only broadcaster which has yet to comply.
