No sign of Rain: no-show has Filipino fans feeling the drought

Fans in Manila were immensely disappointed with singer/actor Rain yesterday, as he failed to appear for a press conference at the Manila Hotel. The conference was scheduled for 2pm, yet was cancelled at the last minute by Rain's staff due to a 'miscommunication' between their agency and the Filipino organizers, they said. "There was a misunderstanding; it was supposed to be September 9th� not September 6th. The interpreter got it wrong." Though the meet was rescheduled for the 9th, reactions to the absence have the Manila press calling it a 'snub'; several sources even claim to have seen Rain swimming in the hotel pool as his representatives were making the official announcement. Rain is in the Philippines for his one-show concert, Intensity, on the night of the 11th with special guest U-KISS and Pinoy ballad artist Christian Bautista.
