M! Countdown will not be airing a new live episode this week

Due to the naval ship tragedy that occurred over a month ago, most variety and live music programs have gone through a blackout out of respect for the lives that were lost. It's now been announced that MNET's live music program M! Countdown will not be airing a live episode this week. M! Countdown has been the sole program to stand strong this month as they aired new live episodes and fed the fans with their weekly dosage of music entertainment needs. But it seems the program will be making an exception this week. The next M! Countdown episode is scheduled to be on the 29th but that is also the date for the Cheonan state funeral. Out of respect for the day of sorrow, MNET has decided not to air a live episode but will instead have a highlight reel of comebacks between Rain, Lee Hyori and 2PM (though there hasn't been much of a comeback promotion). They also plan to announce who placed first this week. But since it's said that all variety and live music programs will be going back to normal after the memorial service, we won't have to wait long.
