SNSD, Brown Eyed Girls and KARA are nominated for the 7th Korean Music Awards

The nine member girl group SNSD has gained four nominations for the 7th Korean Music Awards. On March 9th, the selectors for the nominations held a press conference where they announced all 25 of the nominations. Idols are not big award winners at this awards show let alone are girl groups so this is a big honor. SNSD is nominated with Gee for Song of the Year, Tell Me Your Wish (Genie) for Best Pop Song, Gee for Best Dance/Electronic Song and Netizens' Choice of Best Female Artist of the Year. The Brown Eyed Girls have also snatched four nominations. Their song Abracadabra is nominated for Song of the Year, Best Dance/Electronic Song, etc. KARA is nominated with Mister for Best Pop Song, Honey for Best Dance/Electronic Song and one more. 2NE1 is up for Rookie of the Year among other nominations. On the contrary, SHINee is the only representative for idol boy groups and they are up for Pop Song of the Year with Ring Ding Dong. The 7th Korean Music Awards will be held on the 30th.
