Soo Ae is Empress Myeongseong

Soo Ae and Cho Seung Woo's epic romance movie, The Sword with No Name (or Like Fireworks, Like a Butterfly) has released it's movie posters and a release date. The movie is about a love story between the last empress of the Chosun Dynasty, Empress Myeongseong (Soo Ae) and her bodyguard (Cho Seung Woo). The story tells of how a Chosun Dynasty warrior falls in love with the future Empress Myeongseong. But their love is not to be as she marries the King instead and the warrior is forced to become the empress bodyguard. The movie is loosely based on the life story of the real Empress Myeongseong who was hostile and had resisted Japanese advance into Korea. But she was later assasinated by Japanese agents who had infiltrated the royal palace. The posters sees Soo Ae decked out in elaborate outfits, reminiscent of that era while Cho Seung Woo is pictured with Gwanghwa Gate as a backdrop together with Japanese samurais.
