F.T. Island's F&C Music label mates C.N. Blue (Code Name Blue), also labeled as the next F.T. Island, just came out with their debut album 'Now or Never' in Japan the other day (August 19th). Recently a video of C.N. Blue playing their single 'Now or Never' live at a small venue in Japan just surfaced. Check it out. YouTube credit: cnbluesky C.N. Blue has a decent sound but they're pretty sloppy live and they definitely need to tighten and polish up their live performances if they want to be taken seriously. I thought the lead guitarist Lee Jong Hun did a sufficient job on the solo for 'Now or Never' and, even though he's no Hong Gi, the lead vocalist Jeong Yong Hwa does have a good voice. C.N. Blue has the potential to be a good band but I don't have too much faith in F&C Music's ability to facilitate and nurture an "idol band" into a fundamentally capable group of true musicians. The jury is still out on C.N. Blue though and I'm going to keep a close eye on them. I wish nothing but the best for the rookie band and I hope they improve and go nowhere but up from here.
