JYP Files for Divorce

Producer/Singer Park Jin Young / JYP (not to be confused with his company) has officially announced his divorce through the JYP homepage on the 27th. He wrote, "I spent 16 years with my first love whom I met when I was 20. Spending that time in love was the most precious and most beautiful time of my life, but starting from a few years back, we started to grow distant. The commonalities that we shared when we were 20 started to take a different direction during the 16 years we were together until we had more differences than similarities. After a few years of much thought we decided to part ways." He continued by saying, "I'm sorry that I was unable to keep a promise that I had made in front of people that cherished me and also in front of the fans. Through my work and even personally I wanted to show a good side of me, but I guess I was lacking much. I worried a lot, and struggled but I will return to continually show a good image." Back in June of 1999, Park Jin Young married fashion designer Seo Yoon Jung, who was widely known to be his first love. The two had been married for 10 years and have no children. Clearly, the protection worked. Currently, Seo Yoon Jung operates a flower shop in Seoul.
