4minute is disbanding after 7 years.

The girls' contracts with Cube Entertainment will soon be coming to an end  during this month, and after long consideration, the girls and the label have decided to disband the group. So far, only HyunA has re-signed with Cube Entertainment, and some of the other girls are still talking about renewing with the label again. The girls that do not will look for another label.

An insider said, "All the members have a different future in mind, such as singers or actors. After months of consideration, they decided that it would be hard to maintain the team. HyunA renewed her contract, and some of them are talking about renewing as well, but some will leave the label."

To be honest hyuna having a comeback isn't new, it was rumored since the beginning of April which not a lot of people know. she had a interview and basically confirmed, that happened in APRIL. 4 minute disbanding rumors started late last year just as rumors and namji confirmed that if act.7 doesn't do well they will disband it didn't do well. therefore i don't think its too soon its just because hyuna stayed, and is very popular but has many haters due to her sexy concept (i think) if it was another member everyone would be like yeah (obvious reason why).

This is how big production companies think: everything is about the bottom dollar. 4Minute simply isn't making a profit anymore. Does anyone really think these 4 just left Cube even though there's no jobs lined up for them? That "they decided that it would be hard to maintain the team"? Bull. I'm not the only one who thinks so either. Lookup "4minute Entertainment Expert Reveals Painful Truth Behind K-pop Girl Groups Disbanding" in any search engine. Also consider that prior to Hate's release, there were quite a few articles discussing that whether their contract would be renewed would depend on how well Hate sells. Almost like they had been told an ultimatum ahead of time.Still... such an ultimatum doesn't make sense. 4Minute has consistently given billboard-smashing hits for the last 7 years. So if their ability to outsell the competition hasn't changed, how is it that they were making profits before... but not now?"Crazy" was #2 album in Korea. "Hate" was also #2. That matches with literally every album they've ever released in the last 7 years: they all became #1 to #3 hits. Their album singles are consistently Top 15 too.So what the hell changed? How can you make #2 Gaon-charting hits and not make money?Either the music industry in South Korea is in seriously decline, and only God-tier Hyuna-level or Psy-level singles can make profits, or the production company seriously mismanaged their budget and is too shortsighted to fix it. Probably a little bit of both.

The disbandment is all due to the other company within cube that has most shares of the company if it was still a cube ran by Hong papa then maybe things would be different but it's not anymore so  they're honestly revamping cube altogether CLC is their new gg and Btob b2st and pentagram will be their Boy groups Hyunseung and Hyuna will be soloists

Too bad all the new kpop groups today are all cutesy garbage. With 2ne1 slowly breaking apart and 4minute gone, any semblance of non-cutesy/lovey dovey music in kpop is dying. Korean hip hop is too tryhard for me.

This makes me so fucking sad. They were in the royal family of kpop. How come it seems like everyone with potential is disbanding? But it was Cube's fault to be honest. Instead of making 4Minute, he made it Hyuna and 4Minute when they all had their talents. I'm not even a 4Nia but it makes me really salty that their 7 years of hope and fame went straight to the garbage.
