Fin.K.L's Sung Yuri

Fin.K.L member Sung Yuri certainly caught people's attention for being like the Dara of the '90s--a pretty face with pretty crazy hair. Amidst a group that otherwise sported fairly normal, straight locks, Sung Yuri stood out with her pinned up hair, sometimes for its Sailor Moon flair, other times for simply looking like a lively house plant. 

Roo'ra's Lee Ji Hyun

The pigtails don't stop there. Check out Lee Ji Hyun's ragdoll 'do! The result is a striking resemblance to the Raggedy Ann doll, which is an interesting look to imitate if anything. 

Shinhwa

With that explosive hair, the Shinhwa members gave a new meaning to the term "blonde bombshells." Sometimes when things just got too crazy, the members kept their hair tamed with hairbands and hats. Aw yeah, swag. 

H.O.T

Speaking of blondes, here's H.O.T's Kangta cosplaying as Sasuke with his posse of shadow cloned Narutos.

Once upon a time, dreadlocks were popular even in the K-Pop world. Nineties girl group O-24 is a testament to that fact as they paid homage to the dreadlocks style with their braided imitation.

R&B singer Wheesung was a fan of dreadlocks back in the day, too, even wrapping up his braids with bandanas. 

S.E.S's Bada

S.E.S had their fair share of wild hair, but it was Bada who shined with her famous "antenna hair" that Lee Soo Man himself adored. With her pompoms and sparse bangs, Bada pulls off an anime look in real life.

As the sole female member of her group, Cool's Yuri had all the hair her stylists could play around with to create these unique, crazy, sometimes messy concoctions.

Fly to the Sky's Hwanhee apparently cried when he was styled with the "lion hair." Don't think anyone can blame him.

They're not considered '90s idols, but I don't think it's farfetched to say that TVXQ was inspired by their generation of misguided sunbaes. These handsome faces have since upgraded their look. Thank. Goodness.
