After Seo Taiji announced he would be releasing a collaboration project entitled 'Sogyeokdong' with IU before the unveiling of his ninth album, 'Quiet Night,' IU's version was released first on October 2 and quickly swept the music charts!
Within four hours of its release, it topped a total of 9 music charts, including MelOn, Mnet, and Naver. �However, not everything appears to be well as there were speculations Seo Taiji's "Sogyeokdong" plagiarized Scottish co-ed group Chvrches' "The Mother We Share" after noting similarities. �

In response, Seo Taiji's rep told�Newsen�on October 2, "Seo Taiji's pre-release track 'Sogyeokdong' is definitely not a plagiarized song. �Because it is certainly not plagiarized, we feel there is no value in taking action. �There is no need for that, so our position is to not take action."
