Not surprisingly, despite denying rumors earlier, MBC has now announced the cancellation of 'Knee Drop Guru'.

MBC stated, "We have decided on the cancellation of 'Knee Drop Guru'. The final broadcast will air on the 22nd."

'Knee Drop Guru' premiered back in January 2007 and stood out as a beloved variety talk show that many top stars appeared on to share their stories. The show was forced to go on a hiatus following Kang Ho Dong's temporarily leave from the entertainment industry in 2011. However, the show was revived last November with Kang Ho Dong's return. Despite the return of the original main MC and the re-airing of the show, 'Knee Drop Guru' was never able to recover back to its former days of glory and faced low ratings.

The broadcast station had decided to air a pilot program called 'Story Show Widow's Cruse' during its time slot on August 1st, leading to speculations about 'Knee Drop Guru' being cancelled and the new pilot program continuing to air in its place. 

MBC denied the speculations being raised back then, but they've now confirmed that 'Story Show Widow's Cruse' has indeed been confirmed as the follow up show after the last airing of 'Knee Drop Guru' on the 22nd.
