R&B duo Vibe has released a remastered version of their first album entitled Afterglow. This remastered album also contains the two singles from Vibe's second album "Do You Remember". I am sure not all of you remember who Vibe is so here is a little summary of their career: Vibe released their first album in 2002 as a trio of two male singers (Yoon Min Soo and Ryu Jae Hyun) and a rapper (Yoo Sung Gyu). Their first single "미워도 다시 한번만 (Although it is hateful, again one more time)" paved the way to their success. Their first single received a lot of attention and their popularity grew enough to promote their second single from Afterglow "Promise U". This song was also notably successful. Their 2nd album, "Do You Remember", was released in November of 2003 and the first single "오래오래 (Long Long Time)" was a huge hit as was their second single "사진을 보다가 (While Looking at the Picture)". This cemented their status as a popular group and consistent hit makers. During the hiatus between their 2nd and 3rd albums, the rapper left the group around 2004/2005 citing that he wanted to pursue his own style of music, taking on the name Noblesse. Vibe went on to release their 3rd album, "Re-Feel", in 2006 which, unsurprisingly, became a success with their two hits "그남자 그여자 (That Man, That Woman)" and "술이야 (Liquor)". In 2006 the deserving artists won awards at SBS Gayo Daejun, Golden Disk Awards, and at Seoul Gayo Daejun. -Wikipedia (with my insightful adjustments) Vibe has long been one of my favorite K-pop groups. Their award winning music videos feature some pretty famous actors and actresses. Watching their drama like videos is like magic - hearing their soulful melodies mixed with sad lyrics while watching good acting has me to the point of crying every time I watch. I hope that the re-release of their album means that they are trying to promote themselves before they release another new album. One can only hope.
