Actor Shin Dong Wook suffering from rare disease

Actor Shin Dong Wook has been revealed to be suffering from a rare disease called�Complex Regional Pain Syndrome / Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (CRPS).

Recently, a post titled, 'Please read - Actor Shin Dong Wook suffering from a rare disease,'�was shared by a fan on an online forum.�The post read, "It was recently found that Shin Dong Wook is suffering from an incurable disease called CRPS. I wish to remember him."

Shin Dong Wook enlisted in the army on July 20th of 2010 where he suddenly collapsed while coming out of the training camp. While he was being treated, it was discovered that he has CRPS. The actor was discharged from the army on July of 2011.

CRPS is a rare disease that causes extreme pain, swelling, and skin changes that worsen over time. Even a slight touch can bring a person suffering from CPRS horrible pain.

As soon as word about Shin Dong Wook's illness spread, netizens commented, "I would have never guessed that he was suffering from such a terrible disease", "I wish you well Shin Dong Wook", "I'll wait for the day you come back as an actor", and more.

Shin Dong Wook debuted in 2003 and appeared in dramas such as 'Soul Mate' and 'War Of Money'. He's also known as actor Kim Ki Bum's cousin.
