On the January 28th airing of TV Asahi's "Music Station", SNSD's Sooyoung praised Avril Lavigne, who had also performed on the same episode to promote her new album, "Goodbye Lullabye".
She asked if Avril wanted to write a song for SNSD, since they were big fans. Avril, who had a translator by her side, smiled and replied, "What the hell, why not?"
