Actress Kim Yun Jee, formerly known as NS Yoon-G, opened up about her journey to Hollywood. 

On February 17th, Kim Yun Jee made a guest appearance on JTBC's 'Newsroom' and candidly opened up about her journey to Hollywood. Kim Yun Jee debuted as a solo singer under the stage name NS Yoon-G in 2009 and transitioned into acting in 2017. For her acting venture, the actress decided to use the name, Kim Yun Jee. 

Regarding her Hollywood debut with the Netflix film 'Lift,' she commented, "The first time I auditioned for a project in the U.S. was about 4-5 years ago. I was rejected countless times. For this project, I filmed my video for the audition with my brother for over 6 hours. It took about a month to get the offer. After making the final cut, I had to leave in a week. I was all over the place, but I just left after packing everything in the luggage." 

She opened up that she tried to quit 5 years ago. But the thing that kept her going was her mom saying "You gave your everything to come to Korea and start fresh. I think you should keep pushing until you see the end." She reminisced, "Her saying just ignited something in me. So I signed with an agency for actors and studied hard, along with colleagues who just turned 20. I'm grateful that I didn't give up then so that now I'm here."
