I’m so happy for him. He deserves all the love and happinesses
lmao why is this funny? like pot calling the kettle much?
I miss good variety shows.. episodes of almost all old shows were soo good!
For real! I was just thinking that! I miss Infinite challenge, strong heart etc. even running man is really not that great as it used to be. They really don’t make them like they used to. The only recent one I liked one was 2nights1day, but stopped watching it once they kicked off seonho. But I seriously miss infinite challenge the most 😭😭😭
He needs to press charges at this point. And cut off contact with them. I feel so bad for him, to hear it from his own father. This is some toxic shit, and i hope he gets therapy to deal with all of this.
but tbh what do netizens think is going to happen? they are good looking people , who are going to get together with other good looking people. Ive been a kpop fan for like 13 years and this reaction still puzzles me. Like they signed up to be idols not monks
I honestly don't care about this whether they are really dating or not... but I hate the fact that BH keeps on being silent about it when with others, like with RM back then, they easily released a statement.
It is also very noticeable now that V gets a lot of hate, He is getting dragged regularly and got a massive increase of antis starting from the time when this whole "dating scandal" first broke out. A lot of fans showed their true colors.
the companies confirming it is going to make things much more difficult for both of them. They are going to be hounded with questions by their fans and the paps. keeping it neutral is for the best. Unfortunately, people react much stronger to idols dating than actors and not in a good way. i dont care about defending companies but lets think logically
What worries me is that the politicians are trying to get a photo-op without their permission. Like with V he was clearly not expecting that raised hand thing. Who knows how these politicians will use that image? I don’t trust them
she looks nothing like she used to...
I feel sad for him tbh, he's honestly frustrated but he's frustrated at the wrong people. BTS is not causing inflation or a housing crisis in Korea, the government is responsible for this, as well companies like his employer, chaebol conglomerates who have so much of the power in Korea.
Just curious, does everyone here also hated Jackson Wang?
Yes, I was a big fan of him and GOT7 but he outright supported the CCP when Hong Kong was protesting CCP intervention in elections and way of life. And he used to say really proudly that he’s from Hong Kong, but ultimately sold out.
So you say that before it was okay for them to do it because they hid it, but since it's very notorious now, is it wrong? your love for groups and idols of past generations does not let you accept that it was always wrong and always serious, but since nobody was bothered, they are still doing it 10 or 15 years later.
I dont think thats what she was saying. Yes there were bad practices even 10 years ago, well aware as fans since that time, but idols were older. the trend in kpop rn is to debut them younger and younger. Taemin debuted at 14 or 15 which was an anomaly back then, and he has struggled with that, but most groups debuting were in their 20's. obviously restricting diets at any age is bad, but much worse when they are their growing stages which is their teenage years.
All true, but my main point still stands- Making sure everyone's demands and desires are met. They needed to have a serious discussion amongst themselves as a group before speaking to the company or lawyers. They needed to air out all their concerns and grievances to each other (even if opinions hurt each other's feelings), so that way they can make contract decisions that will benefit everyone in the group. If you have members that don't care to hear each other's concerns, then they were doomed anyway. This reminds me of the Friend's tv show. They all stuck together to get paid one million an episode. You are more powerful together.
like the netizens said, there are plenty of groups now with members in different companies that still comeback together. They're grown adults who have to make the best decision for themselves, their lives and their careers.
lol why is kang dong won standing like that? but yeah its amazing how IU is so talented in so many things. unreal
LMAO! I get how you can get confused but he's talking about the Marine as in the military branch and the culture within that branch of the military. lol
Totally agree that he can do what he wants, but as a fan I'm worried for his health and voice. But he knows all of that so he can make smart decisions.
That’s very reasonable especially as celebrities. I know of normal people who spend 70-80k on their weddings. That’s nice they didn’t go insane.
The thing about saying that this is a more profitable or money grabbing business strategy is that the evidence is pretty clear: it's not working. Financial information is easily available online (it was even posted here not that long ago) for the major agencies -- and YG does not have the same kind of profits as the other big three or four companies. Because they release fewer comebacks, they have less income... But they still have high operating costs because of course they have to maintain these idols' lives even when they're not promoting. They're making money, sure, but they could be making more. It seems YGE really just didn't anticipate the extent of growth of the international market and thus that underestimate how many buyers there could be for every release. Their strategy might be wise if it were a smaller pool of fans (to not spend money on producing an album your fans can't yet purchase so soon after the other), but they didn't keep up with the potential size of the purchasing audience, the way the other major labels did.
YG has tried to also keep an image of exclusivity for a long time. It started with GD. Once they figured that if they can keep their artists image and publicity exclusive then there will be more demand for them and creates a bigger hype. its worked for some, like blackpink, but not for others like IKON and winner. But idk why they dont figure that cookie cutter approach to all the groups or artists dont make sense
I'm so glad i didn't invest my time and energy on them, not because of Blackpink girls themselves. But being a VIP fan, i knew and i was tired of the shit that YG keeps pulling on the fans. They love to milk out the fans by having them support the artists with endorsements and ads etc, but hardly allow the artists to release anything for the fans. idk if they still keep doing this but they would keep delaying comebacks after promising the fans, i remember this in the big bang and winner eras.
Your comment just reminded of YG founder. He literally belittled SM and other agencies by saying they focus too much on looks not talent. Yet, this agency is using these girls' looks to earn money, literally waisting their talents.
He used to say that when he was trying to promote 2ne1 (and belittle them at the same time because of their talent, as if 2ne1 were also not attractive and beautiful). but yeah someone else said it the best, they were made to be influencers not really singers or artists. They invest hardly any money on them for producing albums and songs and focus on getting them designer endorsements and ad deals
Lets see these “perfect people” in the comments below not hit a bitch when someone offends their loved one. Lets see these “perfect people” in the comments below hold back. 🙄🤓✌️
Lets see them not react exactly like will smith. 🤷♀️
if everyone reacted violently once their sentiments are hurt, we would be in a very violent world. if he was offended, he should have said that to him privately and get an apology that way. thats the whole point of non violence.
I agree, they might need support, but that means getting their consent. No matter how well meaning the other person might be, if the victims herself does not want to deal with it, then its her choice. To do otherwise would be taking power away from the victim which defeats the whole purpose. Getting justice is more than just making the perpetrator feel bad, its also for the benefit of the victim.
In general that way of thinking is just disgusting and victim blaming like. “If you expose the bully you’re just as bad…” that’s literally what this user is saying and I’m talking in general not just this case.
because no one is gaining anything out of exposing them. the victim wont feel better, the bully wont be a better person because they got exposed. the only thing accomplished is getting revenge, which is petty, especially if this happened when they were 14/15yrs old. Especially in Korea, this is social murder, they are really putting that person up for lifelong prejudice, they will always be assumed as a bad person, it will be hard for them to get a job etc. now if they haven't changed which is something you determine after trying to get an apology from them, maybe the victim can pursue other routes, but even then letting go and forgiving them is probably better for the victims soul and peace of mind
the victims wishes should be the primary importance, especially since this is not a criminal case. It should be that person's choice because otherwise the victim is not getting any closure or healing, its just creating drama
People change. Its pretty hypocritical for people to just say that bullies should have their lives ruined. How many people have not made mistakes when they were 14 or 15? As someone who has been bullied, the best thing for everyone involved is the chance for forgiveness. She should reach out to her privately and ask her to apologize. She also had 10 years to go and ask for an apology, the only reason she's thinking about doing this is because she doesn't want her to be happy or successful, which is pretty sad for her, she needs therapy or healing. Also this how people commit suicides, and then the same people on the internet rant about how netizens were mean to them which lead to this awful action.
Even though I'm hyped about Big Bang's upcoming comeback, it feels bittersweet that this could be the last time w/ T.O.P in the group. He never said he was permanently leaving, but we all know that an individual leaving their group will find it hard to join that group in promotions the way they used to. Big Bang doesn't make a ton of comebacks so T.O.P could have enough time to join them, but he also has his own ambitious plans (being the head of his own company, his own solo music, his acting, and even a wine product) that he'd maybe find it hard to join Big Bang especially when it comes to touring.
yeah it sounded from his recent interviews he wants to put his own stuff out there. it might be a while after we hear all of big bang come together again. but i am excited to see what he comes up with, the stuff that he was allowed to release under YG was super interesting and different, always wondered why he didn't release more music.
Fans of Joshua need to send protest trucks to the protest trucks. This is ridiculous. He's a grown man. Like people need to get out of their unhealthy fantasies.
