Hani is reportedly considering a return to the small screen after a three-year hiatus.
On January 8, her agency SUBLIME confirmed, “Hani has received an offer to appear in KBS2’s upcoming weekend drama 'Love is Coming' and is currently reviewing the proposal.”
'Love is Coming' is a highly anticipated project that brings together writer Lee Kyung Hee, known for 'I Am Sorry,' 'I Love You,' 'Uncontrollably Fond,' and 'Wonderful Days,' and director Hong Seok Goo, who has previously helmed 'Cheer Up,' 'Mr. Kim!,' 'Ms. Perfect,' and 'Homemade Love Story.' The drama is expected to air as a KBS2 weekend series.
According to reports, Hani has been offered the role of Han Gyu Rim, the owner of a side-dish shop, marking what would be her first acting project in three years if she accepts.
Hani debuted in 2011 as a member of the girl group EXID and transitioned into acting in 2019. Since then, she has appeared in dramas such as 'XX,' 'How to Be Thirty,' and 'Call It Love.'
Meanwhile, Hani is publicly dating psychiatrist Yang Jae Woong. The couple had planned to hold their wedding ceremony in September last year, but the event was postponed indefinitely following controversy surrounding a patient death incident at a hospital where Yang serves as the chief director.
Fans and industry watchers alike are paying close attention to whether 'Love is Coming' will mark Hani’s long-awaited return to acting.
