Sung Si Kyung appeared on Kyuhyun’s YouTube series ‘Listening Party’ released on Nov. 22, 2025, sharing stories behind his new EP ‘The Classic’ and, indirectly, the recent case involving his longtime manager. Waiting for Kyuhyun, he told the camera, “I’ve been going through something really hard lately… you’ve probably seen the articles,” and added, “I have to pull myself together. There’s nowhere to lean.”

As the fourth track ‘Live in Memories’ played, Sung Si Kyung fell silent, removed his glasses and wiped his eyes. He said, “Sorry. I guess I was upset. The song is just so good,” and continued, “Even if ballads aren’t the center of the market, it moves me to see a junior pour such care into a song. It overlapped with what I’m going through.” Over food and drinks with Kyuhyun, he remarked, “These days, my job is to forget.” He also reflected, “People who do the same work can’t say everything to each other, and looking happy doesn’t mean it’s any less hard.”

Earlier this month, his one-man agency SK Jaewon said it had confirmed that a former manager had betrayed the company’s trust during employment and was assessing the scope of damage. The manager, who joined Sung Si Kyung after working with him at his previous label, handled concerts, events, broadcasts and advertising; the case is now under investigation by Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police after a third-party complaint.
On social media, Sung Si Kyung wrote that the period has been “a relentless stretch of painful, unbearable days.” He added that having trust broken by someone he regarded as family is not new in 25 years of debut, but still not easy, and that he keeps asking himself whether he can and should stand on stage. He has since decided to proceed with his year-end concerts as planned: ‘Sung Si Kyung’ will run Dec. 25–28 at KSPO Dome in Seoul.
