Actor Kim Woo Bin has shared his current perspective on his past battle with nasopharyngeal cancer.
On October 12, Kim Woo Bin appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel 'Fairy Jae Hyung.' During their conversation, host Jung Jae Hyung brought up the actor's past illness, noting how hard he used to work.
Jung Jae Hyung recalled how Kim Woo Bin once said that if he had three hours to sleep, he would sleep for one and exercise for the other two. When asked if he still lives that way, Kim Woo Bin replied, "Now, I'll sleep for the full three hours," explaining how his mindset has changed.
While acknowledging the hardship, Jung Jae Hyung suggested, "I'm not saying it was a good thing, but it seems like that time off had a clear meaning for you."
Kim Woo Bin agreed, stating, "I think only the good things remain. That time I spent resting gave me a good gift."
He elaborated on his positive outlook, explaining, "Honestly, I don't remember the pain. The level (of pain) was so high. So, in my mind, it's something that doesn't exist in my life. Only the good things are left." He added, "There were so many things I took for granted that I became grateful for. I came to think that the sky gave me a big, wonderful gift during that period. My mindset has been so much better since then."
Kim Woo Bin was previously diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer and has since made a full recovery after undergoing treatment. He recently starred as the title character, Genie, in the Netflix series 'Genie, Make A Wish'.
