It has been just over a month since Mnet’s survival show ‘Boys 2 Planet’ wrapped. While debut-line team Alpha Drive One prepares for launch, trainees who missed the final cut are already moving on to their next chapters—some with new releases, others with fan events and fresh group lineups.

Veteran contestants Hari Jun and Hee Chan were first out of the gate with their group DKB under Brave Entertainment, which returned on Oct. 23, 2025 KST with the ninth mini-album ‘Emotion’. Framed around love and its shifting feelings, the set highlights the band’s deepened tone. The title track ‘Irony’ is a pop-rock number driven by a sticky guitar riff and a rhythmic, hard-hitting sound, narrating the confusion of not knowing whether a partner’s behavior signals “love” or just “play.”

Soloist Jang Han Eum, who finished No. 18, is up next. According to ES Nation, Jang Han Eum will drop the double-title single ‘Omnibus’ on Oct. 28, 2025 KST. The first title, ‘CARTOON’, written and composed in part by Jang Han Eum, likens one’s life path to a comic drawn by oneself. The second title, ‘Omnibus’, is a soulful track that unveils a new side of Jang Han Eum’s vocal color; together, the rock-leaning ‘CARTOON’ and the soul-based ‘Omnibus’ aim to trace an emotion line like a short film.

Ranked No. 9 on the show, Yoo Kang Min has returned to Jellyfish Entertainment alongside Lee Dong Heon and Cho Gye Hyun and, with Yeon Ho and Yong Seung, signed a renewed, full-team contract for VERIVERY. Rather than an immediate comeback, VERIVERY will hold a solo fan meeting, ‘Hello VERI Long Time’, on Nov. 8, 2025 KST at Gonggam Hall in Seoul—its first full-team offline event since the ‘Dream Shop’ fan concert in 2023 and the first fan meet since ‘Boys 2 Planet’.

Under Incode Entertainment, run by master Kim Jae Joong, trainees Masato, Sen, Sun Jiayang, and Peng Jinyu are also set for a fan meeting. Notably, Sun Jiayang and Peng Jinyu, who appeared on the show as part of the C-group, have newly signed with Incode and quickly joined the offline schedule.

Independent trainee Kim Min Jun and Great M’s Park Nu Ri have joined the upcoming boy group idntt at MODHAUS, the company behind 24-member girl group tripleS. Mirroring that scale, idntt is planned as a 24-member act. So far, Kim Do Hoon, Kim Hee Ju, Hwangbo Min Gyeol, Choi Tae In, Lee Jae Young, Kim Ju Ho, Nam Ji Woon, and Lee Hwan Hee have been revealed; Kim Min Jun and Park Nu Ri are expected to be announced formally in due course.

Elsewhere, boy group WHIB—which included Kim Jun Min and Lee Jeong—announced the departure of member In Hong and will continue as a seven-piece. Kim Jun Min has reverted to his real name for activities, retiring the stage name J.DA used at debut.

Among fans, proposals have surfaced to assemble a derivative unit from some of the eliminated contestants. Unlike the usual post-show chatter, this iteration includes a specific 11-member roster and a suggested group name, Flare. Whether such a project materializes remains uncertain.

As for the winners, Alpha Drive One is slated to debut in the first half of 2026 KST, with plans to promote in Korea and overseas for five years thereafter.
