Actor Lee Jang Woo, who recently announced his upcoming marriage to actress Jo Hye Won, will continue his involvement with the popular MBC variety show 'I Live Alone.'
On June 21, a representative from Lee Jang Woo’s agency, Hunus Entertainment, told Star News, “He is not leaving 'I Live Alone.' There have been no discussions regarding his departure.”
Earlier the same day, news broke that Lee Jang Woo and Jo Hye Won will tie the knot on November 23. Hunus Entertainment confirmed to Star News, “Lee Jang Woo and Jo Hye Won will be getting married on November 23.”
Speculation about his departure from 'I Live Alone' surfaced following the preview clip released on June 20. In the teaser, Lee Jang Woo appeared emotional as he said, “This is the last time for Palm Oil,” referring to the beloved “Palm Oil” trio consisting of himself, Park Na Rae, and Jun Hyun Moo.
In the video, Lee read a heartfelt letter addressed to his fellow "Palm Oil" members, saying, “I think this is the last time for Palm Oil. I feel a bit sad and regretful, but I want to thank you both for always taking such good care of me with so much love. Please make sure to attend my wedding and say, ‘Lee Jang Woo has grown up well.’” He was seen tearfully delivering the message.
In response, Hunus Entertainment clarified that Lee is stepping away only from the “Palm Oil” segment, not from the program itself.
Meanwhile, Lee Jang Woo and Jo Hye Won first met on the set of the KBS weekend drama 'My Only One' in 2018. Their relationship developed from friendship to romance, and they officially confirmed their relationship in June 2023. The couple has been dating publicly for seven years.
