The film 'Hi-Five' (directed by Kang Hyoung Chul) held a special screening event on June 17 at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall, inviting organ donor families and related medical professionals for a meaningful gathering.
The event was hosted in collaboration with the Korea Organ Donation Agency (KODA). Over 200 attendees, including donor families, KODA ambassador Kim Kyung Shik, officials from Seoul National University Hospital and Gangnam Severance Hospital, and representatives from transplant centers, came together to share in the occasion.
'Hi-Five' is a comic action film that tells the story of five strangers who unexpectedly gain unique superpowers through organ transplants. The star-studded cast includes Lee Jae In, Ahn Jae Hong, Yoo Ah In, Ra Mi Ran, Kim Hee Won, and Oh Jung Se.

Organizers noted that the event aimed to highlight the “miracle of connecting lives.” The film’s narrative of connection through organ transplants resonated deeply with real-life donor families, delivering a warm and emotional experience.
Producer Lee An Na also greeted the audience, saying, "'Hi-Five' is a story about people who reach out a hand for someone else. I’m grateful to have shared this with all of you."
KODA Director Lee Sam Yul added, “Just like the transplant recipients in the movie who go on to do great things, we will continue our efforts to ensure that real-life recipients also regain their health through the noble gift of life.”

After the screening, audience members shared handwritten messages such as, “It’s amazing to see the topic of organ donation presented in such a bright and hopeful way,” and, “It’s the perfect mix of fun and emotion. An unforgettable movie.”
'Hi-Five' premiered on May 30 and has since surpassed 1.54 million in cumulative admissions. The film has been praised not only for its touching message but also for showcasing the potential of Korean-style superhero storytelling.
