The new Disney+ Korea original series 'Low Life' (written by Kang Yoon Sung and Ahn Seung Hwan, directed by Kang Yoon Sung) is officially setting sail this summer.
Based on the popular webtoon by acclaimed artist Yoon Tae Ho, 'Low Life' kicks off with an intriguing premise: the existence of a sunken treasure ship off the coast of Shinan.
A powerhouse cast brings this gripping story to life. Ryu Seung Ryong takes the lead as Oh Gwan Seok, the head of a gang of countryside misfits. Yang Se Jong joins as Oh Hee Dong, Gwan Seok’s energetic nephew. Im Soo Jung plays Yang Jeong Sook, the calculating matriarch of Heungbaek Industries, with a sharp talent for handling money. The ensemble also includes Kim Eui Sung, Kim Sung Oh, Jang Gwang, and Lee Dong Hwi.
A newly released poster adds to the anticipation, depicting a dark, ominous ocean with shadowy silhouettes of people and a boat, hinting at the mysterious and unpredictable story ahead.
The tagline deepens the intrigue: “In 1977, off the coast of Shinan, the scent of money rises from the sea.” Promising a suspenseful narrative fueled by human greed and deception, Low Life sets the stage for a thrilling ride.
'Low Life' will premiere with three episodes, followed by two new episodes weekly.
