Hwa Sa indirectly denied rumors of dating a businessman in his 40s and also shared her views on marriage.
On March 5, Hwa Sa appeared as a guest on Park Na Rae's YouTube show 'Naraesik' alongside Han Hye Jin. The trio talked about various topics, including their dating life and their views on marriage.
In the video, the three friends expressed their hopes of having a couple's gathering one day and having a triple date. Hwa Sa then commented, "Aren't all three of us single right now?" seemingly shutting down the ongoing rumors about her alleged relationship with a businessman in his 40s.
Hwa Sa's dating rumors first surfaced in June last year. According to reports, she had been dating a businessman who is 12 years older than her for five years. The reports claimed that the two met when the businessman was working in the music industry.
However, Hwa Sa now referring to herself as "single" during the conversation with Park Na Rae and Han Hye Jin, she has indirectly denied the speculation surrounding her dating life.
She also shared her thoughts on marriage and the conservative views about marriage in South Korea. Hwa Sa explained, "In other countries, it's much more free when it comes to these things. Korea is still (a bit conservative) when it comes to marriage," and explained that she wants to break the conservative views in Korea.
Hwa Sa elaborated, "That’s honestly a dream of mine. It’s one of my dreams. Like Rihanna or Beyoncé. They are performing while pregnant. They’re still viewed as Rihanna, you know people see them as artists. So I hope Korea becomes that free as well. So we don’t view marriage negatively. And then we can just go for it if we meet the right person. That’s how I feel."
