JYP says Red Velvet’s Wendy should open a vocal coaching academy

On the latest episode of the competition show ‘THE DDANDDARA’, singer and producer J.Y. Park, also known as JYP, suggests to Red Velvet’s Wendy that she should open a vocal coaching academy.

J.Y. Park’s comment comes after the drastic transformation of the contestant Yoo Woo following Wendy’s vocal coaching, going from near-eliminated to best performer.

Previously, a ‘YouTube Shorts’ video of Wendy’s vocal coaching session for another contestant Shim Sang Il also went viral, amassing over 6 million views to date. After picking up on the contestant’s vocalization problem for high notes, Wendy instructs him to push the back of his head against the wall while pushing his voice forward. This method instantaneously improved his singing, earning her the nickname “Professor Wendy.” Netizens are awed, praising Wendy’s professionalism.
