Gong Seung Yeon talks about gaining 18 pounds for the movie 'Handsome Guys'

Gong Seung Yeon opened up about gaining weight for her movie 'Handsome Guys'.

On the June 18th episode of 'Cultwo Show', Gong Seung Yeon featured as a guest alongside her 'Handsome Guys' co-stars Lee Seong Min and Lee Hee Joon and opened up about gaining 8kg (17.6lbs) for her role in the film.

She expressed, "I wanted to show a different side from my peers when appearing as a college student. I wanted to portray a slightly cuter image, so I gained weight." 

As for how she gained weight, Gong Seung Yeon said, "I ate a lot from the catering truck and didn't exercise much, so I gained weight quickly. As soon as filming ended, I lost it all again."

'Handsome Guys' is a horror-comedy about a malevolent spirit sealed in a basement that awakens on the day Jae Pil (played by Lee Seong Min) and Sang Gu (Lee Hee Joon) move into their new rural home. The movie is set to premiere on June 26 KST.
