Korea’s current hottest trot superstar Lim Young Woong has done it again.
Another of Lim’s act of kindness has taken social media by storm again. As Lim was apologetic about the noise caused by his concert rehearsals, he gifted neighboring households with Korean melons, which are even more expensive now with the steep inflation.
Lim has been known for his altruism and charitable acts. Since 2021, he has been consistently donating to those in need through his fanclub ‘Young Woong’s Era’ upwards of 100 million won. Just a few days ago, to celebrate Parents’ Day on May 8, he donated 200 million won to Community Chest of Korea, the country’s largest welfare institution.
It doesn’t end here. For his special exclusive show ‘We Are HERO’ in 2021, he distributed all of his salary among the staff. When an audience member over 80 years old got dizzy during his concert, he offered to pay for their medical bills. Notably, in order to ensure his fans do not feel financially pressured with buying his merchandise, he includes a clause in his advertisement contract that all buyers of the health supplements he endorses will get his merchandise for free.
His talent alone warrants his popularity, but his consistent efforts to be considerate and give back really seals the deal. It's no wonder that the general public acknowledges him as an angel.
