Over the past few days, many celebrities took to social media to verify that they had voted in the 22nd National Assembly election and also encouraged citizens to vote.

Various celebrities, including NewJeans' Minji, Kian84, Super Junior's Heechul, and TV personality Jang Sung Kyu, all posted photos of their voting experience and highlighted the importance of everyone's votes.

However, one musical actor is garnering much criticism after openly stating that he did not vote in the 22nd National Assembly election.

Recently, musical actors Cha Yong Hak and Park Eun Suk participated in a radio talk show where the two were asked if they had voted. Actor Cha Yong Hak shared, "I voted on the first day of voting because I had a performance yesterday." However, Park Eun Suk shared, "I couldn't..." He further explained, "Recently, I haven't been able to watch too much TV, and I haven't, you know... put my interest in what's going on these days. I thought voting would be you know a little... So I didn't vote."

The interviewer seemed to be taken aback and responded, "Oh ok, that's understandable... it's said that 60.4% of the Korean citizens vote or something like that."

A netizen shared the video with the caption, "?? Why is he confidently saying that he didn't vote...?????? He's saying he didn't vote because he had no interest in it... lol"

Other netizens commented, "I get that he didn't want to vote. I mean it's his choice but he's so confidently saying that he didn't vote because he had no interest," "I guess he didn't know the position he's in to say something like that," "You should vote the next time," "Wow, that's such an uneducated thing to say," "I guess he doesn't even realize that what he just said is something to be ashamed of and it's embarrassing," "That's not something he should be proudly saying," "He should've just said he was too busy to go instead of saying he had no interest," "He's not even that young," "Wow, he's an actor I like...liked... lol," "Why is he living in Korea?" "The actor next to him seems so flustered when that guy said that," "He's in so many musicals," "Our ancestors worked so hard to get democracy in place...There were three days to vote.." "He should've just said he voted...it's not something to boast that you didn't vote," "Wow, he said he didn't vote because he was not interested...what an excuse,"  and "This is why our country is the way it is now."

I interpreted it as, he didn't have enough information to vote confidently and thought it was better to not vote than vote blindly.
