KH Company announced on March 13th that Soyeon, formerly of the group Laboum and WSG Wannabe, will release her solo ballad single "Are You Doing Well?" on March 29th at 6 PM KST across various music sites.
Although Soyeon has participated as a vocalist in OSTs and project singles, this marks her first time releasing a solo song under her own name.
"Are You Doing Well?" is a medium-tempo ballad song that calmly expresses the pain of being unable to forget a former lover even after a breakup. It captures a variety of emotions, including memories of better days and the heart's ability to let go with a smile, all delivered through Soyeon's clear and serene vocal tone.
The song begins with gentle piano and guitar, building to a dynamic arrangement with the addition of splendid strings in the latter half, hinting at the birth of another classic ballad by conveying the depth of hidden sorrow.
Debuting as a member of Laboum in 2014, Soyeon has been recognized for her distinctive clear vocal tone and stable live performances. In particular, "Imagination Plus," which showcases Soyeon's powerful high notes, gained immense popularity and achieved a reverse charting success.
Soyeon also gained much love as a member of WSG Wannabe, a group formed through the MBC variety show "Hang Out with Yoo," with hits like "Exactly Like That Moment" and "When I Close My Eyes."
Soyeon's solo debut track "Are You Doing Well?" will be available on various music sites at 6 PM on March 29th.
I can’t wait! She was my bias in Laboum ❤️
