MIRAE's Jang Yu Bin faced criticism as a disappointed fan disclosed that he had sold a gift they had given him to a second-hand market.
On January 27th, a fan came forward on social media, expressing disappointment upon discovering that a gift they had given Jang Yu Bin was being resold online by the idol himself. He had a verified identity on the platform.
In the post on a second-hand market, Jang Yu Bin wrote as if he bought them himself in Japan, however, the fan was able to spot the gift right away.
When the disappointed fan confronted him, he apologized and explained that he was trying to sell the gift because he didn't want to ask his parents for money. He replied, "It's the end of the year so I became more emotional and worrisome. Whenever I feel like that, I sometimes turn to retail therapy. But I didn't want to ask my parents for help. So I apologize for acting without thinking. I'm sorry."
The revelation sparked shock and disillusionment among fans who had invested time and emotion into supporting their idol. Many expressed betrayal and hurt, feeling that their gesture of support had been disregarded.
What do you think?
I think they're idiots for sending unsolicited gifts in the first place. What's he supposed to do with them, hire a warehouse to store them in forever?
.
No-one should ever buy gifts for someone they don't know, never mind someone famous, who will be getting stuff sent by the ton that they neither want, nor need, nor have any storage room for.
