BLACKPINK proves why they're streaming giants: First Girl Group on Spotify with 30 Songs Over 100M Streams

Posted by MomoDancer5,703 pts Tuesday, November 21, 2023

BLACKPINK consistently sets remarkable records on Spotify and various global music platforms. Their latest achievement comes with "Yeah Yeah Yeah," a fusion of romantic pop rock and synth-pop from their second studio album "Born Pink." This track has now crossed the 100 million streams threshold on Spotify, marking it as the 30th song by BLACKPINK to reach this milestone. This accomplishment not only sets a new record for girl groups but also extends their lead over Little Mix, who currently have 21 songs surpassing 100 million streams on the platform.

Recently, BLACKPINK became the First Girl Group in 18 years to win at the 'Billboard Music Awards' since Destiny’s Child in 2005, and also made history as the first girl group in 24 years to win the 'Best Group' award at the VMAs since TLC.

Congratulations to BLACKPINK!

Easy to be a streaming giant when you have only a handful of over- hyped songs to your name. If How You Like That, Pink Venom, or Shut Down were released by a small or mid-sized label, they would've flopped a long time ago.
