The generous contribution, which was made public on August 22 KST, will be used to support emergency relief activities, including restoration efforts and victim assistance.

In a heartfelt message, Haechan expressed his deep empathy and urged the victims to stay strong. "My condolences go to the residents of Hawaii who are grappling with this unexpected disaster. I hope the damages will be repaired promptly, and everyone can resume their everyday life securely."

The donation will be managed by the American Red Cross. They will oversee the funds’ distribution, ensuring they are utilized to support the affected areas and provide valuable help to those in need.

Earlier this year, Haechan donated 100 million won to the Fruit of Love Social Welfare Community Chest. The funds aimed to aid the restoration of earthquake-ravaged areas in Turkey and Syria. His sizeable contribution earned him recognition as a member of the Honor Society, a distinguished donor group for the Fruit of Love organization.
