KONNECT Entertainment revealed the results of the lawsuit against Kang Daniel's malicious commenters.
On April 17, the agency released a statement regarding the legal action it took against the singer's malicious commenter through its official social media. The agency began by stating, "We have been taking strict measures against false rumors, insults, and defamation toward our artists for a long time." The agency added, "Recently, we have filed a number of legal complaints with the investigative agency based on information collected from fans and through our legal team's monitoring."
KONNECT Entertainment explained, "Last month, a malicious commenter was given a judicial disposition for continuously spreading false information and defaming the artist. As a result, the suspect was charged with the crime of insult. According to Article 311 of the Criminal Act, a person found guilty of insult can face imprisonment of up to one year or a fine of up to 2 million KRW."
The agency continued, "We promise to take all necessary legal measures for stronger and more severe criminal disposition for such criminal acts."
Previously, Kang Daniel's agency stated that it will take strong legal action against malicious commenters and stated that it had filed the 6th complaint with the Gangnam Police Station back in 2021.
