The renowned music composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, who recently passed away, worked with BTS's SUGA on his first full solo album 'D-DAY.'

SUGA, a member of the popular K-pop group BTS, is set to release his much-anticipated solo album 'D-DAY' under Agust-D on April 21. The album features a total of 10 tracks, with one particular song, "Snooze," marking a notable collaboration with the late legendary composer Ryuichi Sakamoto.

SUGA has expressed his admiration for Sakamoto's music since the age of 12, when he first encountered it while watching the film 'The Last Emperor.' Over time, SUGA developed a deep appreciation for Sakamoto's work and became a devoted fan of the renowned composer.

In a touching tribute to Sakamoto, SUGA shared that he was the one who reached out to the composer and requested the collaboration. The two artists were able to meet in person last September in Tokyo and work together on "Snooze."

Sakamoto's recent passing has undoubtedly been a great loss to the music community, but his legacy lives on through his work, and his collaboration with SUGA on "Snooze" is sure to be a special highlight of the upcoming album. Upon hearing the news of Sakamoto's passing, SUGA posted a heartfelt message dedicated to the late composer.

R.I.P Ryuichi Sakamoto. I absolutely love "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence." Such a beautiful song.

Wow! I am impressed. Sakamoto was such an important figure on music scene of our time (from pioneering electronic music with YMO to film music) and Suga got to collaborate with him. Sakamoto is going to be missed! Such a talent is rare.
